This 27-track record is the second installment in a planned three-part project and is a tribute to the often-overlooked contributions of Black Americans to country music. The album featured country music legends like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and Linda Martell and included a heartfelt cover of Parton’s classic hit, Jolene.

Cowboy Carter did not simply make waves in the country genre—it made history.
